Steps to Apply for Concurrent (High School) Courses

​COMPLETE THE MANHATTAN TECH APPLICATION

All students must submit a Manhattan Tech Application. After you submit your application, please allow about 30 minutes for your checklist to update.

1. Go to the Application Portal

Visit the Manhattan Tech application portal: engage.manhattantech.edu/apply

You’ll see two options:

  • First Time Users
  • Returning Users

2. Create Your Engage Account

If you’ve never started a Manhattan Tech application before, select: First Time Users – Create an Account

Enter:

  • Your name
  • A personal email address (not your school email, not a Manhattan Tech email)
  • Your date of birth
  • A password you will remember

Once you submit the form, you will be emailed a confirmation pin. Open that email and enter the pin to activate your account.

3. Log In to Engage Portal

After activating your account:

  1. Return to engage.manhattantech.edu/apply
  2. Select Returning Users – Log In
  3. Enter your email and password

You will now be logged into your Slate status portal.

4. Start Your Application

Once logged in:

  1. Select Start a New Application
  2. Choose the appropriate application based upon applicant type
  3. Complete all required fields
  4. Submit your application

Make sure all information is accurate—especially your name. Whatever you enter on your application becomes the official name on your Manhattan Tech account and records.

ASSESSMENT (IF APPLICABLE)

Students must take the ACCUPLACER or show qualifying ACT scores to enroll in English Composition I and College Algebra. See minimum qualifications below. To schedule a placement test, click here!

HIGH SCHOOL APPROVAL ENROLLMENT FORM

After completing the Manhattan Tech Application, you must complete the High School Enrollment Form through our online signature system, altaFlow, each semester you wish to enroll in concurrent or dual credit courses.

The above form will move electronically through the required approval process:

  1. Student — Completes and signs the enrollment form.
  2. Parent/Guardian — Receives a text message from 1-877-894-2745 to review and provide consent.
  3. High School Counselor — Reviews the course request and verifies eligibility.
  4. Manhattan Tech — Student Services completes the final enrollment verification and processes approved course.

Important: Parents/guardians should watch for a text message from 1-877-894-2745 after the student submits the form. This is an official altaFlow message associated with the Manhattan Tech enrollment process.

Submitting the form does not guarantee enrollment. All required approvals must be completed, eligibility requirements must be verified, and enrollment deadlines must be met.

RESET MANHATTAN TECH PASSWORD

Once your enrollment has been verified, new students will receive an email from Manhattan Tech with instructions to set up their account and password. Returning students should continue using their existing Manhattan Tech account and password.

SUBMIT PAYMENT (IF APPLICABLE)

Your account balance can be viewed through MATC Online, and a statement may also be mailed to you. Payment can be made online, by phone, or by mail. Payment plans are available.
